Species such as Monstera, Philodendron, Alocasia, and Anthurium naturally grow in airy, well-drained rainforest soils rich in organic structure and mineral elements. This substrate replicates those conditions to support strong root systems and balanced plant growth indoors. The carefully selected combination of universal substrate, pine bark, perlite, expanded clay, and zeolite creates a light, breathable, and structurally stable growing environment. The mix prevents waterlogging while maintaining optimal moisture levels — a key factor for successful aroid cultivation. --- ### Why Choose Plant Nest Aroid Mix? - Optimized structure for tropical aroid plants - Excellent drainage to reduce root rot risk - Balanced moisture retention without compaction - Enhanced root aeration for faster establishment - Suitable for mature plants, cuttings, and young specimens --- ### Composition and Function of Each Component **Universal substrate** forms the nutrient-rich base and supports overall plant vitality. **Pine bark** improves aeration, enhances microbial activity, and promotes healthy root branching. **Perlite** increases drainage and prevents soil compaction. **Expanded clay** enhances structural stability and airflow within the mix. **Zeolite** helps regulate moisture and nutrient availability while stabilizing p H levels. Together, these components create a long-lasting, well-balanced medium ideal for demanding tropical species. --- ### Usage Suitable for repotting established plants, propagating cuttings, and supporting young plants during active growth. Use pots with drainage holes and monitor watering to maintain optimal moisture balance. | Weight | N/A | | --- | --- | | Volume | 1 L, 3 L, 5 L | ## 3 reviews for Plant Nest Aroid soil mix ![35549e4435652713f375b3a0ce2f46e65202bec9c74e9cb1e76e38315a3f29bb](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/35549e4435652713f375b3a0ce2f46e65202bec9c74e9cb1e76e38315a3f29bb?s=60&d=mm&r=g "35549e4435652713f375b3a0ce2f46e65202bec9c74e9cb1e76e38315a3f29bb") Rated **5** out of 5 **Angela** *(verified owner)* – June 25, 2026 Ich habe den Plant Nest Aroid soil mix für meine Monstera und Philodendron ausprobiert und bin begeistert, wie locker und luftig die Mischung ist. Není těžký ani slepený, takže mám pocit, že kořeny mají konečně dost vzduchu. Po zalití voda pěkně proteče a rostliny nepůsobí přemokřeně. --- ![b5abea77024026934cead285c908cb744086e280a6122b8bbf764920239e4556](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/b5abea77024026934cead285c908cb744086e280a6122b8bbf764920239e4556?s=60&d=mm&r=g "b5abea77024026934cead285c908cb744086e280a6122b8bbf764920239e4556") Rated **5** out of 5 **Matthijs** *(verified owner)* – June 29, 2026 I like this aroid mix because I can use it for different plants without overthinking too much. It drains well, feels stable and makes repotting young plants and cuttings a lot easier. Ik vind deze aroid mix fijn omdat ik hem voor verschillende planten kan gebruiken zonder er te veel over na te denken. Hij draineert goed, voelt stabiel aan en maakt het verpotten van jonge planten en stekjes veel makkelijker. --- Add a review [Cancel reply](https://www.plantnest.eu/product/plantnest-aroid-mix#respond) ## You may also like… [![PlantNest premium soil anthurium & alocasia](https://www.plantnest.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/anthurium-a-alocasia-300x300.jpg "PlantNest premium soil anthurium & alocasia")](https://www.plantnest.eu/product/plantnest-anthurium-alocasia-soil-mix) [## PlantNest Anthurium & Alocasia soil mix](https://www.plantnest.eu/product/plantnest-anthurium-alocasia-soil-mix) Rated **5.00** out of 5 6,90 € – 12,90 €Price range: 6,90 € through 12,90 € [Select options](https://www.plantnest.eu/product/plantnest-anthurium-alocasia-soil-mix) This product has multiple variants.
