Syngonium ‘Pixie’
Syngonium ‘Pixie’ is a charming miniature houseplant with compact growth and beautifully patterned, arrow-shaped leaves. Its fresh green foliage features a lighter centre surrounded by deeper green edges, creating an elegant contrast that brightens shelves, desks and small indoor spaces.
Unlike larger Syngonium varieties, ‘Pixie’ remains naturally compact, making it an excellent choice for smaller homes, offices, terrariums and decorative plant arrangements. It is relatively easy to care for and adapts well to typical indoor conditions, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced plant lovers.

Light
Place Syngonium ‘Pixie’ in bright, indirect light. Good light helps maintain its attractive leaf pattern and compact shape. It can tolerate a slightly shaded position, although growth may become slower and the colouring may appear less pronounced.
Protect the plant from strong direct sunlight, which can scorch or fade its delicate leaves.
Watering
Water when the upper layer of the soil feels slightly dry. The substrate should remain lightly moist but never permanently wet or waterlogged.
Always allow excess water to drain from the pot, as prolonged moisture around the roots may cause root rot. Reduce watering during autumn and winter when the plant grows more slowly.
Humidity
Syngonium ‘Pixie’ appreciates moderate to high humidity. It grows especially well in kitchens, bathrooms, terrariums or rooms with a humidifier.
Normal household humidity is usually sufficient, but very dry air may cause the leaf edges to turn brown. Keep the plant away from radiators, heaters and strong air conditioning.
Temperature
The ideal temperature is approximately 18–27 °C. Protect the plant from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes and temperatures below 15 °C.
Soil and Fertilising
Use a light, well-draining substrate suitable for tropical houseplants. A mixture containing houseplant soil, perlite, coconut fibre or fine orchid bark will help provide healthy drainage and airflow around the roots.
Feed with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertiliser approximately once every four weeks during spring and summer. Fertilising can be reduced or stopped during the colder months.
Growth and Care
Syngonium ‘Pixie’ has a compact growth habit and usually requires very little pruning. Remove yellow or damaged leaves when necessary to keep the plant looking healthy and tidy.
Rotate the pot regularly so that all sides receive even light. This encourages balanced growth and prevents the plant from leaning towards the window.
Important Information
Syngonium contains calcium oxalate crystals and should not be consumed. Keep the plant away from children and pets that may chew its leaves.
Each plant is naturally unique. The size, shape and colouring of the leaves may vary slightly from the product photographs.
